Where Sound Meets Story & Movement

The Sound Masters Academy is a hands-on enrichment program that builds communication skills through music, drawing, movement, and storytelling. The program is designed for learners across the lifespan--from preschoolers to older adults--and supports inclusive environments in daycares, K-12 classrooms and playgrounds, and memory care centers.

Start with a 45-minute session

Each 45-minute session offers:

  • Guided activities in music, drawing, movement, and storytelling

  • Adaptable materials for different age groups and abilities

  • Take-home kits to extend learning and family engagement

A Little Ms. Frizzle, a Little Mr. Burton

The Sound Masters Academy was developed by Dr. Terra Miller, a communication scholar with professional experience in early childhood education, disability care, and instructional design. The program blends:

  • Montessori-informed strategies that encourage independence and sensory engagement

  • Communication science to support language development and emotional engagement

  • Creative expression as a tool for confidence and belonging

  • Adaptive movement designed for all abilities and easily integrated indoors or outdoors
